Liz Brocklehurst
The Secret Dinosaur has been used as an English comprehension exercise in Hodder Education’s Primary English Literacy Course as an exemplar of compelling storytelling. The writing is noted for its engaging style using rich descriptions which draw readers in. The textbook features only the very best children's authors such as Michael Morpurgo and Roald Dahl, so The Secret Dinosaur is in good company. Class Reader Schools now use The Secret Dinosaur as a class reader, particularly following, or in the run-up, to an author visit, or during their study of dinosaurs at KS1 and KS2. The School Librarian Journal called the Secret Dinosaur a "welcome addition" for children up to Year 7, appealing to newly emergent and confident readers.
Author Author Liz Brocklehurst is passionate about the environment and as a Zoology graduate from Oxford University, has a deep knowledge of animal biology. Her first children's fiction book is a mystery/thriller, set against the landscape of Scotland and the forests of the Congo and has a strong survival/environmental theme. A former teacher, Liz has previously written a range of science books for primary school children.

Robert Newberry Artist and Illustrator Robert Luke Newberry obtained a First in his illustration degree from Falmouth School of Art (part of Falmouth University). He was long listed in the House of Illustration's Book Competition 2016, in which hundreds illustrators from around the world competed to illustrate a special edition of War Horse, by Michael Morpurgo. Robert admires the works of NC Wyeth and Howard Pyle. He aims to bring out the drama of any story he illustrates and his pictures reveal much about the characters they depict.

Liz Brocklehurst Author Author Liz Brocklehurst is passionate about the environment and as a Zoology graduate from Oxford University, has a deep knowledge of animal biology.
